PSAL leading dime dropper Kelly Robinson
– Kelly Robinson aka K. Rob was presented by the PSAL this past weekend at Madison Square Guardian with the leading assist award for leading the PSAL in assist. Robinson finished her 2008-2009 high school campaign with a league leading 119 total assist. The Francis Lewis prodigy averaged 11-points and 8.5 assist per game.
In a phone conversation with head J.V. and assistant varsity coach of Christ the King coach Dom Cecala, he expressed his happiness for Robinson getting the award. Dom states: “Kelly is a not only a great player, but she’s a beautiful person who’s one of my favorites. I love Kelly. I’ve known Kelly since she was 10-years old and I’m happy she got this award”.
Robinson, who is being highly recruited by several D-1 schools will look to increase her stock this spring and summer while running the point for the very talented NY Lady Xplosion AAU team coached by Dom Cecala.
Kelly Robinson says that the assist award is a great honor, but her goal is for her to help Francis Lewis team get to the Garden and win it all next year.
Ms. Robinson will have that opportunity next season. For now, she will cherish her assist award.
